Little Iodine started as a recurring character in Jimmy Hatlo’s humor panel They’ll Do It Everytime. She eventually grew so popular that a separate comic strip was made for her.
The strip’s namesake is a prankish, conniving, deceptive girl who’s forever at odds with her parents and all authority figures in general. Her endless highjinks and bad behavior thwart the efforts of all around her who want to live a peaceful life.
Jimmy Hatlo drew his strip in a skillful way depicting his characters in a very funny vein. After his death in 1964, Bob Dunn took over the strip until 1967 when Hy Eisman came on board to draw the strip.
